Been a minute since my last posting. things are getting close now. I am loving how about my departure date they are predicting snow for this area. That's going to be fuuuuun.
All i have left is food stock and to water treat my tent cause i found a few leak spots during my test setup. Man the butterflies right now though. It has been almost 14 years and im really looking forward to this now though
also added a location to my itinerary. Sometime in Mid june i will be heading to western Montana for a National Rainbow Gathering (peace gathering in national forest). the main day for the festival is July 4th and i will be leaving probably about a week after that. During that time i may not post due to being out in the middle of nowhere with a strong possibility of no signal. But as soon as i am in an area that has signal i will update with many pictures, videos, and stories. Hope you all enjoy this journey with me and maybe i will see some of you while i am out on the road.
Ready for travel

Colorado Food and Beverage Laws are interesting
Hello again everyone
Lately i have been looking up the different laws and permits i would need to get and follow to open a normal coffee shop in Colorado. interesting part is if you only serve drinks (no food) with no ice in them all you need is a state sales tax permit. lol ice is food by their standards. still i am going to have other things so i will need both sales and food and beverage permits.
So that is what i have been doing in my waiting time lately. Anyone have any ideas of any place in CO that doesn't have many coffee shops and could use one?

SOSCharger/Flashlight Final Review
It makes a great flashlight. with the stock 3.5v button cell battery pack it charges quickly for lighting when needed. The phone charger part though needs much work. The 3.5v is not enough to charge a standard charger style phone without constant cranking (takes at least 6v for USB style). Also the output amps are low enough that it can only slow charge so with a newer smartphone you would need to shut the phone off or you only maintain the current charge.
I did however find a fix for this that mine will have done to it before travellng. By changing the 3 stack button cell pack (3.5v) with 4 AAA NiMH connected in serial (6v) i was able to give enough of a charge without cranking and also was able to charge the batteries with the crank, it took a lot longer to build, though not as long as charging the phone with the 3.5v and crank.
Overall on a scale of 1-5 (5 being top) i would give this a 2.25. It works but not as well as expected and needs mods to be a viable emergency and or travel charger for cell phones unless you have plenty of time to crank and only need to make 1 or 2 short calls
Still want to try the new project they have specifically for cell phone and usb charged items that comes with a charge meter however as it looks like it was more thought out in design.
